I am happy to report that I finished the race with my 2nd best time ever…..4:26!
It appears the loss of 10 pounds had a very positive effect on my time. Additionally, it usually takes me until Thursday to recover completely; I was feeling “normal” by Tuesday. There is a message in this for all of us!
The pain during the last 90 minutes was no different than in the past. And the pain always reminds me of the mental anguish and physical trauma that Ioanna went through as she fought a heroic battle to beat brain cancer. I will continue to run this race for the Ioanna C. Moore Foundation until I can run no more.
Thank you for your generous donations! For those of you that may not have made a donation and would like to do so, please use the donate page of this site. There is no deadline; however, it would be terrific if we can set one for the eradication of this dreadful disease which affects so many families and friends.
Chris, Alexis and I will be deciding shortly where to put some of the Foundation’s money to work. Your suggestions are always appreciated.
Thank you again for your support. We will win this battle!
